25 Contemporary Authors of Faith, (or Who Thought Beauty Disappeared?)

I consider myself rather literate and familiar with, although not wholly, a good number of men and women of faith writing good literature. Well my expertise was put to rest and shown meek and weak this morning.

Good Letters

There is a troll speaking out that there are no contemporary writers of faith worth their salt coming both from quarters of faith and from secular media. To write the wrong (pun intended) a hitherto unknown Patheos blogger, who granted is evangelical, gives a list of 25 authors of faith in our times. I’ll admit; I recognized one name. Anyway, here’s the link. Go check it out and possibly pick a new read or two for the fall.

About Fr. Kyle

I am a priest of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. I was born and raised right outside New Orleans. I attended Catholic school my entire educational career. By the time I graduated high school, I had two paths to choose: rockstar or priesthood. I pursued both for awhile but eventually came to the understanding God's will was priesthood and my will was rockstardom. After making that decision, to allow God's will to be mine, I needed a new way to channel my creativity. I began writing as I finished up my formation for priesthood. I still play music, but priestly ministry comes first. My bride: St. Rita of Cascia Parish in Harahan, LA.
